Creating an Elite-Level Basketball Facility

New City College Hackney is one of London’s leading further education campuses, offering outstanding facilities for students while also serving the wider community through sport. As the home court of the London Lions, the venue required a playing surface capable of meeting the demands of elite-level basketball while remaining durable enough for everyday educational use.

Working in collaboration with Sports Equipment Supplies (SES), DYNAMIK was appointed to deliver a complete refurbishment of the existing basketball court, transforming it into a high-performance facility that combines professional standards with a striking visual finish.

At the heart of the project was the installation of a DYNAMIK fully sprung timber sports floor, finished in premium 22mm engineered oak. Designed to deliver exceptional shock absorption, ball response and player comfort, the new floor provides the performance characteristics expected at the highest level of the game.

To complete the transformation, the project also included:

Installation of fresh basketball line markings for accurate, competition-standard play.
New basketball goals with clear acrylic backboards.
Modern scoreboards to enhance both training sessions and matchday experience.
Custom court branding and logos, creating a professional identity that reflects both New City College Hackney and the London Lions.
