Leisure Centres

With more than 130 sports floors installed each year, DYNAMIK are one of the leading suppliers and installers of sprung sports flooring for leisure centres.

With over 25 years’ experience of working in community-used establishments, DYNAMIK offer the expertise required in assisting you to choose the correct sprung system and playing surface to meet your particular requirements.

Our projects range from new build sports halls, to the refurbishment or replacement of existing old timber or vinyl playing surfaces within a gym.

Leisure centres place huge demands on all their facilities which typically can be open from 6am through to 10pm all year round and must be fully functional at all times.

In any leading leisure centre it is now taken for granted that it will incorporate a high performance area. If funding has been provided, for example, by Sport England, there will be conditions upon which the monies are being put to good use. A DYNAMIK area elastic sprung sports floor system complying fully with the latest standards can meet and often exceed these requirements.

A few of the recent Leisure Centre and Community Space Installations DYNAMIK have completed:

  • Five Rivers Leisure Centre, Salisbury
  • The Greenhouse Centre, London
  • Newcastle Eagles Community Arena
  • Onside Youth Zone Nationwide Projects
  • Bury Roller Skating Arena

The choice of the right floor finish is also essential and needs to combine an easy maintenance regime with excellent durability.

Solid synthetic surfaces offer durability and a relatively easy cleaning and maintenance regime in addition to being ideal for sporting use.

Although a solid timber floor may be a preferred option due to its appearance, it cannot ever practically meet the demands imposed on it within a community centre environment. That is why we recommend a sprung engineered timber system finished in a solid synthetic surface such as solid sport linoleum, solid sport vinyl or seamless polyurethane. Whatever your individual requirements, we have the expertise to guide and assist you in choosing the right sports floors for your facility.

A Case Study

Greenhouse Sports were gifted an impressive building from a generous long-time supporter, and with vision and determination have turned it into a community hub. The former Christ Church, located at the junction of Cosway Street and Bell Street in Marylebone, is a grade II* listed building and lies within the Lisson Grove Conservation Area. The building was deconsecrated in the late 1970’s and was then used as offices from the 1980’s.
